No Ordinary Person, an evening of autobiographical storytelling

Willie Shanks who has lived in Rappahannock all his life. He is one of four children and he has four children of his own. He works for the county as a waste management consultant at Flatwood recycling center. His story shares an experience he “hopes never to repeat.”

Crispin Sartwell is a retiring but not shy philosophy professor and opinion writer who splits time between his home near Gettysburg and his mother Joyce Abell’s place down on Rock Mills Road. His is a story of childhood illness and life affirmation in old age.

David Tatel and his wife Edie have lived near Rock Mills for 30 years. A federal judge in Washington DC, David will talk about how he learned to work with his amazing German Shepherd guide dog, Vixen. David is writing a memoir that will be published next year.
