RAAC Community Theatre

Come to the warm, vibrant RAAC Community Theatre and see outstanding plays. Our new home is in the Little Washington Theatre thanks to the generosity of Nancy Raines.

The RAAC Theatre group is an energized mix of actors, directors, artists, and technical experts each bringing their own special talents that make our productions beautifully staged and most of all, highly entertaining. We also welcome new players and stage crew of all ages and all levels of experience.

The RAAC Community Theatre selects a wide variety of plays to perform as full productions or staged readings, and we invite members of the community, regardless of specific acting experience, to audition for roles in plays ranging from comedy to serious themes, from two-person shows to large-cast holiday productions typically featuring lots of young actors.

Recent productions include: Waiting for Godot, Let Me Down Easy, Ripcord, The Good Doctor, The Talented Clementine, A Christmas Carol, Our Town and Sleeping Beauty.

Community Involvement and Learning Opportunities

Our group periodically hosts community readings, workshops, improv sessions and programs for kids, so those interested can learn about acting, directing, lighting, sound, set design, and make-up. Watch this space for upcoming schedules.

If any aspect of the performing arts intrigues you, here’s your chance to become involved.  Come join us to help create or produce a new play.  We are always seeking community members who would like to try their hand at acting, directing, designing sets or working on sound or lighting.  Being part of the production crew is rewarding and it is not necessary to have experience or make a long-term commitment.  Most of us started here as beginners and had so much fun, we never left!
